About Me
My name is, as I said, Irina Ponomareva and I live in Saratov, a city in Russia.
My main profession is web design, but my employment status changes so often that I’ve given up trying to keep track of my employers and to keep this information up to date on my websites.
My hobbies are multiple. Reading books in a language that is not my first one is just one of them. The others are breeding guppies, watching Formula 1 races (other than that, I’m indifferent to TV), spending countless hours online, studying Atlantic hurricanes (being usually born half the globe from where I am, they don’t affect me in any way, so it’s purely scientific interest) and, since recently, amateur photography (very amateur). I can see material here for half a dozen websites, but for now I have just three web projects, and none of them is too big: Foreign Reader Says, Saratov Unknown (linked above) and Web Perfectionist. I designed and wrote them all myself.
My family consists of me, my husband Alex (another geek in the family) and our daughter Janna. In the photo below you can see all three of us standing near a conquered World War II German tank in the Military Glory Museum in Saratov.
