Someone has typed into Google: "Why couldn't Laurette Akande become a doctor?" Interesting question - and, incidentally, one I've been asking myself, too. Why indeed? Probably because she had done her degree in physics rather than medicine - that seems the most obvious reason. But honestly, I don't know.
